Wreck of the Menhaden, 1985
Where a silver ribbon of fish flash across a dark shore, this land–languished for the sea long memorized by moon, this body of fish trembled one eye up,
gazed upon the Moon’s mercurial detachment, and
thus enthralled, she taught the tides to turn by simple repetition.

it’s twilight. i’ve just seen three ducks race by in the pale sky. does anyone else remember the story of A Duck Named Ping.
