How do you win the war in Afghanistan? Identify the enemy–tribal warlords with explosive material living simply–high and dry in the mountains. Disarm the enemy–buy all their explosive stock with a new currency. Encourage them to allow implementation of open government that favors women. Educate the children, and build schools with public facilities ALL OVER AFGHANISTAN. Again, make them trade the landmines and explosives for FOOD, and ignore the poppy business because you cannot change their culture nor change their chief commodity, but you can change the rules of engagement and the laws of exchange.
